Hear marvellous, decades old stories of inexplicable wonder brought to life by a local guide. Step back in time, over 100 years ago, to when a man volunteering on the construction of this monumental wooden Church fell from the roof and walked away. Then journey through a century of unexplained phenomenon and averted disasters. Discover the power of roses to create miracles and the faith of a rural mining and fishing community. Tea and dessert to follow at the museum.

Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 10:30 am. After the tour we have tea and dessert at the museum, included in the price. $22

Pirate’s Haven Crab Festival

The tender and delicate sweet meat of this crustacean is a favorite around here. Local fishermen deliver their catch to us fresh out of the water and Pirates Haven’s very own Pirate Paul cooks them to perfection. You’re not going to want to miss this event!

We also have live entertainment and an exhibition of crafters and artisans.

A Night at the Museum – a look back at the 50s & 60s

Sit back, relax and savour a most scrumptiously delicious meal before you take a trip down memory lane. We step into history and take a nostalgic look back on what life was like in Stephenville during the 50s & 60s. Remember watching the Beatles rocking it out on the Ed Sullivan Show, or the landing on the moon, and what about Elvis arriving at Harmon Air Force Base, or the TV show; American Bandstand.

Come and enjoy the fun as we step back and reminisce with stories and song.

A Night at the Museum presents: Paradise of the North

Join us at the Stephenville Regional Museum for an evening of delicious food and stories from the Base era; 1941-1966. Stephenville (Harmon Air Force Base) was known as the Paradise of the North; there was plenty to do like organized sports, world class entertainment, fishing, social clubs and plenty of fun. The era was one of change and influenced by music. Both the soldiers and locals fondly remember that time. Come and enjoy the evening – you’ll be glad you did.

Tickets are $25.00 – Bar opens at 6:30 PM – Dinner at 7 PM

Afternoon Tea at the Museum

Don’t you think that Sundays and Afternoon Teas are the perfect pair? We do too! This summer, between July 09 and August 27, the Stephenville Regional Museum invites you to our Sunday afternoon teas between 1 PM and 4 PM. Perfect for a first time visit or the chance to reimmerse yourself in our in our eclectic collection of artifacts that tell part of the story of the Bay St. George region. Rumour has it that special visitors will unexpectically pop in from time to time. Please join us.

Time: 1 PM – 4 PM
Cost: $5 adults; $3 students; & 6 and under FREE

Bonfire and Music on the Beach

Bonfires and Music on the beach is the place to be on most Wednesdays during the summer. The music is great, the location awesome and the sunsets brilliant.
We are still collecting wood, so if you can please.
Bring a stick of wood to help with the fire.

As a reminder this is family event, please no alcohol or use of any recreational substances. Thank you

Music is free for the enjoyment. We do have a donation box on site for those who wish to support the Friendly Invasion Festival.
